Product Manager – Left Travel: Maple Ridge

At the heart of our business (what you’ll be working on) is a platform to connect travelers to their ideal vacation rental or hotel as part of our Left Travel subsidiary ( We work with some of the biggest and best partners in the industry  and have big plans to grow our business in this market. Through research into market and customer requirements, you will become the subject matter expert for Left Travel. As you champion the features and functionalities of the product through the release cycle, you will work closely with our technology and development teams to ensure milestones are reached.
Where does all this magic happen? We might have the coolest office space in the Lower Mainland (BC) complete with a games room, library, lots of beer, and plenty of smart and silly people. We are purposefully located out in the ‘burbs so that our employees can live and work in their community. If you do commute it’s only 40 minutes against traffic from downtown Vancouver, and we’re just across the Golden Ears Bridge, so we are extremely accessible to most who live in the Vancouver area. About the Job: So what will you be doing?

  • Work with the various stakeholders and be responsible for managing the product updates to all sites and systems related to Left Travel
  • Analyze market, partner, & customer requirements while defining detailed requirements and user stories
  • Champion identified key features and functionalities through the product release cycle
  • Coordinate delivery on the milestones in the product roadmap working closely with our development and strategic teams both here in Canada and with our team in Bangladesh
  • As the subject matter expert for your product, you will become the voice of the product for various stakeholders in the company
  • Coordinate updates to products and communicate with various partners and offsite contractors.

Essential Skills: What do you need to get here?

  • You’ve woven your passion into earning a Bachelor’s Degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or other related fields.
  • 2 or more years of experience as a product manager in a software company.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Self-starter looking to looking to learn and contribute significantly to the team.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must.
  • You hold yourself and others to high standards because you believe the impossible is possible.

Useful Things:

  • A post graduate degree or diploma in business or marketing will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of blockchain, smart contracts, digital marketing, conversion rate optimization, and web development are all areas about which you will need to become familiar with, so if you already have this knowledge, that is awesome.
  • Experience in working with other cultures, including a remote development team would be a huge plus.
  • Candidates who have previous experience in business development and/or project management would have an added advantage.
  • Experience in the travel industry would be of benefit.


  • You are entrepreneurial. This means you know failure is an option, but you also know that when you learn from failure, this is often when the impossible becomes possible.
  • We still classify ourselves as a startup even though we are an international office of 75+. We currently have about 18+ in Maple Ridge and 60+ in Bangladesh, so you must want to be in the startup environment.
  • Maybe you have just recently finished your MBA and are just starting out in Product Management, or maybe you have been in a similar role for a few years and are ready for a change, but either way you have a desire to be part of a smaller team where you would have a direct impact on the business as a whole.
  • You must be a self-starter and able to take initiative and manage your own projects.
  • You can self-learn as things change; and quickly, because learning must be ongoing and things change often.
  • Must be a team player, culturally sensitive, and a good communicator as you will need to voice your visions to the rest of the team.
