Junior UI/UX Designer: Maple Ridge, BC

Are you keen on making a difference within your team, your community, and the increasingly connected globe? If so, our career opportunity with Left™ as a Junior UI/UX Designer might be the right career move for you!
Who is Left you may be asking? Left is the back-to-back winner of the Community Engagement Award at the Technology Impact Awards and the Best Workplace as awarded by Small Business BC. It is also the parent company of several successful web and mobile brands. At the heart of our business is a platform to connect the next billion people using a fully-distributed mobile mesh network for Android and iOS mobile phone platforms, along with IoT devices. Our platform will enable affordable, reliable, resilient, and secure access to the internet and connectivity to all users.
How does this relate to you? Well, we are looking for someone to work across our multiple projects, including a whole bunch of apps that we are building across our mesh platform as well as other apps that support our existing business lines. The possibilities are endless. You will be working closely with our Product Managers and Developers. Your skills in app design and UI/UX implementation for both Android and Apple will be relied upon and further developed by assessing product usability. This fast-paced environment boasts high rewards for change-makers and innovators, while offering a corporate culture that makes all the hard work with a special team very valuable.  If you are the right candidate and you are thinking to yourself, “This is going to change the world, and I want to be a part of that!”—Your dreams are as big as ours.
Our team of Lefties (this is what we call ourselves) take our core values, one of which says, ‘Think Different’. We live this value so much so that our co-founders decided to locate our office in the suburbs of Maple Ridge where we are easily accessible to the surrounding areas such as Langley, Surrey, Tri-Cities and only a 40-minute drive from Vancouver. Maple Ridge offers a large pool of extremely talented people who are tired of losing valuable family time to commuting. We might have the coolest office space in the Lower Mainland (BC) complete with a games room, library, lots of beer, and plenty of smart and silly people.
Are you still ready to ‘Make You Mark’ (another core value) in history with us?
