THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED; HOWEVER, WE DO VALUE GREAT TALENT AND CONTINUE TO ACCEPT OUTSTANDING APPLICATIONS. We are in need of a wizard! Do you make magic happen out of nothing? If this is something that you do on a regular basis, we want to hear from you. “It’s not magic, it’s science”, you may be thinking, but to the outside world, the work that you do is highly technical, deeply analytical, and dare we say it, magical. Specifically, we are looking for an individual who will be authoritative in networking and wireless mesh technologies; having built large-scale multi-vendor networks, designed protocols, and have a strong understanding of the network stack. The most exciting part of the job though, is that we need you to play a key role in designing and planning the future technologies that will connect the next billion people. At the heart of our business is our revolutionary new mobile app called YO! which launched at Mobile World Congress, Barcelona in March 2015. YO! is the world's first 'Off-Grid' messaging, sharing, and content discovery app. It allows users to connect at high speeds without the need for cellular data or the Internet. This new approach to decentralized networking empowers users to share videos, pictures, messages, songs or even apps. Now people can share with friends at campus, colleagues at the office or family at home – fast and free! Our mission is to connect every person on the planet. Yep. Every single one of them. Mobile technology has been growing at an exponential rate, in the developed world and even more so in emerging economies.  It will not be long before every single person on the planet will be connected in ways that we have not thought of before.  We believe that the way telecom, communication, and media platforms work today is not sustainable to serve the billions of new mobile Internet users in emerging and developed economies.  New and innovative ideas need to emerge to connect everyone on the planet, not just those who can afford it, in an efficient and affordable way.  This is your chance to make a huge and long-lasting, positive, impact on the world. A good place to start to fully understand the incredible opportunity that lies before you with YO! is with  Our Story. Yes, we know it is long, but this is a journey and it is good to know where we have come from so we can better prepare for the future. ( Established in 2010, Left of the Dot Media is the parent company of a number of successful web and mobile brands. The company recently won the 2015 Community Engagement Award at the Technology Impact Awards put on by the BCTIA. This incredible honour and peer recognition from within the technology community, makes us believe that we are on the path to achieving our BHAGs (Big Hairy Audacious Goals). This TIA was a very meaningful award for us, because 5 years ago our co-founders made an important decision to locate our offices out here in the family-oriented suburbs of Maple Ridge. We wanted to live and work in the same community so that we could give back in ways that were meaningful to all “Lefties”, as we call ourselves. With great accessibility to the surrounding suburbs of Langley, Surrey, Tri-Cities and more and only a 35-minute drive from Vancouver, Maple Ridge offers a great quality of life balanced with a unique career opportunity with Left of the Dot. Are you ready to change how the world connects and thinks about distributive networking with us?
