We only have one earth and it keeps showing us how much we have neglected it in the past. We have to act now and save it or it’ll be gone forever.

According to the World Economic Forum it will take us 99.5 years to achieve gender equality. This means none of us will be around to witness it and neither might our children. This needs to change.

Every minute, nearly 20 people are displaced as a result of conflict or persecution. At the end of 2016, the total number of forcibly displaced persons was 65.6 million and it keeps growing.

The poorest 10 percent of global population earn only between 2 percent and 7 percent of total global income. And those 10 percent of the population are our brothers and sisters in humanity.

I grew up in a country rife with political and institutional corruption. This corruption has resulted in rampant crime and a weakened justice system. It has ruined the country and I'd like to see this as a greater global focus.

Privileged people like us, specially living in the more developed part of the world often fail to realize the extent of hunger that exists in this world. We have our own issues and we are fighting for them; that’s a good thing. But we should not forget that there are millions of people including children who lives on almost nothing.

Providing quality education to the world, will unlock new ideas, processes, ways of doing things, and bring us into the future faster and together. Education is the key to the advancement and development of the human race and if everyone is giving the chance to materials that allow them to expand their minds and abilities, the world will be an amazing place.

By improving and advancing on industries, innovating new ideas and ways of doing things, and creating a stronger infrastructure, societies are able to improve life for humanity.

Most people are generally good by nature, but Strong Institutions and fair justice, are necessary to control people who wish to abuse power for their own self interest. Without curbing the abuse of power we cannot expect to live in peace.

We live in an interconnected world, which is leading to a greater sharing of knowledge, wealth and opportunities, but there are still too many huge inequalities. Each one makes our society worse, creates barriers and reinforces self interested prejudice - we can be so much better, but only if we reduce inequalities everywhere.
